Riko Eksteen | FINOS | OSSF 2020: Building an FDC3 enabled web application | FINOS OSSF 2020 Riko Eksteen, Head of Desktop Strategy, Adaptive Financial Consulting Building an FDC3 enabled web application - OSSF 2020 The FDC3 1.1 standard was released in April of 2020, and more and more vendors and organisations are supporting the standards. During this talk, Riko will explain the benefits of an FDC3 1.1-enabled web application, what features are available to use, and walk the audience through a practical example of building such an application. The talk will demonstrate the tooling and libraries available for FDC3 applications, how to engage with the community, and how workflow-driven design is important for successful application interoperability projects. Riko Eksteen's BIO Riko Eksteen is the Head of Desktop Strategy at Adaptive Financial Consulting. An active member of the FINOS Community, Riko has nearly 15 years of experience in technology and financial services with knowledge and skills spanning multiple technologies, front- and back-end systems, and everything in between (a true all-rounder). Riko loves to champion the power of interoperability – making systems "speak the same language" – to help support the vision of digital transformation. In advising clients on desktop strategy, Riko enjoys bringing the dream of interoperability to life by creating user workflows that flow seamlessly between multiple applications in order to improve customer experience, increase cross selling, and deliver more meaningful data to support process improvement. In the past two years Riko has been a significant contributor to the FDC3 Program and Standards, bringing his industry insights, technical expertise and diplomatic style to discussions and contributions. He played a key role in the 1.0 and 1.1 releases of the FDC3 standards, and co-chairs the FDC3 project.
