Hey y'all, 20th anniversary of Pokemon! Holy wow! As a kid, I still remember waking up hours before I was supposed to purely for the sake of getting to play these games before I went to school. And, of course, I'd come straight home to just do it again. There was something special about these games, a spark that I hadn't really experienced in anything before, and a spark that I've yet to find in games since. Pokemon does Pokemon better than anyone else and always will. Traveling from city to city, battling each trainer, and raising my Charmander into it's final form... nothing else has ever had that same sort of impact since! As a result, doing another PokeMedley was a no-brainer! This is actually something I had done several months ago and shelved for various reasons. But with the impending 20th anniversary coming up and an eager bass player pal, I couldn't think of a better time to do it. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did making this! -Frank Hamilton "Even though I haven't played Pokemon for several years, the original three games have always kept a special place in my gaming heart. I have very fond memories of playing Blue and rummaging through the Kanto countryside looking for a trainer battle or a Magikarp (splashing my way to Gyrados). I've always loved RPGs, and Pokemon is no exception. Learning this medley that Frank put together helped me to reconnect with this essential piece of my youth. Maybe one of these days I'll play through one of the new games, and discover the other 600+ Pokemon that I've missed out on!
