Ľudovít Nosko is one of few Slovak 1970's singers with very unique voice color. He began as a rock singer and musician in 1960's (The Gentleman etc.) but he went through many bands until he founded his own band “Plus” in 1982. This song comes from the times when he was a member of the Gustáv Offermann Orchestra. This band was very successful on scene during early 1970´s. Probably the most popular song was cover of the famous hit “Mexico” originally performed by “Les Humphries Singers”. On the B-side of its SP we can find less known song “V tvojich stopách”. Its composer Milan Talaj made some very pretty-panned funk songs. We have to say, that the biggest impact on the listener in this song is made by the interpretation with hoarse voice of Ľudovít Nosko. This combination brought into this song such a needed energy and power that we can enounce this song to be one of those more “western” sounding originated in Czechoslovakia. On the other hand, this song is strongly influenced by pop melodies, what makes a bit “schlagrish” feeling, but good balanced bass line saved the final character from possible kitschiness.
