🎣 Hi guys, and welcome back to another lure building video! Today we’re doing something a bit different - I’m taking apart a Temu fishing lure and turning it into a custom budget glide bait build . When I first got into lure making, I ordered a few cheap lure blanks from Temu because my 3D printing setup wasn’t dialed in yet. Back then, I wasn’t fully convinced by their quality and didn’t really know where to start improving them - so I never made a video about it. Now that I’ve been designing and building my own lures for quite some time, I wanted to revisit one of these Temu glide bait blanks, tear it down and see what we can actually learn from it. In this video, I: • Take a close look at the construction and quality of a Temu glide bait • Modify the center pin (it was way too thin in my opinion) • Airbrush a full custom paint scheme • Improve the optic and blend the details • Finish it with a clear coat and review the final result One thing I really enjoyed was the fine surface detail on the Temu lure - things like scale plates, mouth structure, and textures that are hard to achieve with 3D printing alone. This definitely gave me some ideas for future 3D printed lure designs .
