How to replace the thermostat in a Beko DVC61S fan oven. My fan oven would start to heat up ok, but then tripped the cooker circuit breaker in the house fuse box. So I replaced the element to see if it would fix the problem, but it didn't, so I bought a replacement thermostat on eBay (UK) for £10.70 October 2021. (Unfortunately, this didn't fix the problem, so I replaced the fan motor and that fixed it.) HOW TO REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT IN A FAN OVEN. Before you start, make sure the oven is cold. Turn off the cooker at the wall switch. (If you're not sure you should switch off the cooker circuit breaker in the fuse box) Open the oven door. Remove the shelves and anything else in the way. Pull out the cooker from the wall, so that you can access the rear panel. Remove the Phillips screws holding on the rear panel. Remove the rear panel. Undo the Phillips screws holding the cover panel in place. Remove the cover panel. Detach the thermostat inside the fan oven and feed it out to the rear of the cooker. To remove the hob, undo the 2 screws at the back and push the hob forward to clear the catches at the front. Move the hob to the side to allow access to the switch. Release the old thermostat from the clip on the back of the cooker. Take a photo of the wiring on the switch to help when you attach the new thermostat. Disconnect the wiring from the fan oven switch. Remove the old thermostat from the cooker. Carefully uncoil the new thermostat to avoiding kinking it. Insert the new thermostat and attach the wires to the switch. Feed the new thermostat through the cooker, following where the old one was. Feed the new thermostat from the back of the cooker in to the fan oven. Attach the new thermostat inside the fan oven. Replace the cover panel. Screw the cover panel in to place. Replace the shelves. Close the oven door. Slide the hob back in to place. Replace the screws to hold the hob in place. Replace the rear panel. Replace the screws in the rear panel. Push the cooker back in to place. Turn on the cooker at the wall switch. (and circuit breaker if it was turned off.) Turn on the fan oven to test it is working. Done. I hope this helps.
