Get Ready for the MOST Romantic Barn Wedding of 2024

Want to know what a day wedding looks like at the stunning Cote How Lake District Weddings in the heart of the Lake District... Paul and Marianne chose Cote How's intimate setting for their tiny day wedding, focused on creating an intimate and relaxed wedding, of just 18 people. Their venue choice was big enough to cater for all their needs but small and intimate enough that they felt cosy and comfortable without rattling around a huge barn venue. Their day started at 10 am, when the bride and her bridesmaids got ready in the dedicated beauty suite upstairs at Cote How. Next, the groom and all the guests arrived at 2:00 pm for a sunny drinks reception on the house terrace before their ceremony in the beautiful and airy Fairfield ceremony room inside the house. The post-ceremony celebrations included canapes and fizz on the terrace before Paul & Marriane ventured to the lake shores of Rydal Water, just 200m through the meadow at the foot of the Cote How Gardens. Next, the wedding moved to the ancient 16th-century barn for speeches and cake cutting ahead of their three-course dinner, accompanied by a toast drink and wine, and followed by tea and coffee with the wedding cake. The evening started with a beautiful first dance outside the barn terrace as the sunset over Rydal Water filled the venue with a warm, golden radiance, and their wedding guests basked in its last rays. The happy couple stayed overnight in the luxurious honeymoon suite and enjoyed a cosy and private breakfast the following morning before departing to start their next chapter as Mr. and Mrs. Special thanks to Paul and Marianne for sharing their day and their photos with us.
