How the Heart Center Works in Human Design

The Heart Center is the center for ego, willpower and wishes. There are 4 gates in the Heart Center that are about control, being the best, being competetive and providing. Those with a defined Heart Center have the ability to do twice as much work in about half the time so it’s best for them to be able to control the circumstance around their work as in the type of work they do and the hours they work. They know what they want and have the willpower to go after it and make it happen. It’s also right for them to make promises and follow through on them as this will help to bolster their sense of self-esteem. Those with an undefined Heart Center don’t consistently know what they want or have the willpower to make things happen. It is not right for them to make promises because they don’t actually know if they will have the energy to see things through. Instead, they need to rely on their defined centers to achieve their goals. The mantra for those with an undefined Heart Center is: “I have nothing prove” because it is not right for them to get caught up in competition and trying to prove themselves. It’s actually taxing on their system to do so. They can also struggle with not knowing their value and therefore accept less in life because of it. Do you have a defined or undefined Heart Center?
