Old Scraps and Hand Tools...This One Nearly Broke Me!

I built a shoji style desk lamp from a 150 year old beam using only hand tools. No power tools were used for the build. I got the beams from a dear friend that got them out of his first home during a remodel. All of his children were born in the house. I originally built a lamp for him as he is interested in Japanese style woodworking and i knew the lamp would have a deeper meaning to him because of the material used for the build. I unfortunately lost most of that footage when filming. So i decided to build a second lamp. Hope you enjoy the video as much as i enjoyed this build. Welcome to SB Woodworks!
