I don’t normally wear a running vest when I go for a run but that week I had planned to film my workout routine. I needed the vest to put my camera in. I haven’t used it in so long - I totally forgot that I can adjust it from the sides! It was swaying a lot on the first 2K that I had to stop from annoyance. I think that was when I injured myself as it distracted me from proper form etc. and after my 5K run, I found myself struggling to carry weight on my left leg🙈. It took me over 2 months to fully heal. The first week was very painful and uncomfortable but it gradually got better over time with rest and movement. The experience wasn’t good but I learned a vital lesson - to make sure I also take care of my joints and have strengthening exercises for my knee etc! This is so our body is better prepared for any inconsistencies or situations that aren’t in our control.
