A two-part show involving questions related to the #HolySpirit. These two shows live-streamed on Saturday March 30 and Sunday March 31, 2019. Texts considered in both parts include: Genesis 1:1-3 (Hebrew): But the earth came into being with no clear structure. It was basically empty and darkness covered the surfaces of the deep sea. Then a wind from God [or, "a/the spirit of God"] hovered over the different watery surfaces of the earth. Then God said, "Light must come into being." So light came into being. [TGM]; Genesis 1:1-3 (Greek): In the Beginning God made heaven and earth. At this time the earth was not visible, and it had not yet been completed. Darkness covered the sea abyss and a spirit [or, “wind”] from #God was placed over the water. God said, "Light must come into being." So light came into being [TGM]; Exodus 15:8: And by a breath from your nostrils waters were heaped up; They stood still like a dam of floods; The surging waters were congealed in the heart of the sea. [NWT]; Numbers 24:2-3: When Ba'laam raised his eyes and saw Israel tabernacling by his tribes, then the spirit of God came to be upon him. Hence he took up his proverbial utterance and said: "The utterance of Ba'laam the son of Be'or, And the utterance of the able-bodied man with the eye unsealed [NWT]; Numbers 11:25: Then Jehovah came down in a cloud and spoke to him and took away some of the spirit that was upon him and put it upon each of the seventy older men. And it came about that as soon as the spirit settled down upon them, then they proceeded to act as prophets; but they did not do it again. [NWT]; Psalms 33:6: By the word of Jehovah the heavens themselves were made, And by the spirit of his mouth all their army [NWT]; Psalm 104:29-30: If you conceal your face, they get disturbed. If you take away their spirit, they expire, And back to their dust they go. If you send forth your spirit, they are created; And you make the face of the ground new. [NWT]; Psalm 139:7 Where can I go from your spirit, And where can I run away from your face? [NWT]; John 14:26: But the helper, the holy spirit, which the Father will send in my name, that one will teach YOU all things and bring back to YOUR minds all the things I told YOU [NWT]; John 15:26: When the helper arrives that I will send YOU from the Father, the spirit of the truth, which proceeds from the Father, that one will bear witness about me; [NWT]; Matthew 28:18-20: And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: "All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things"; Revelation 1:4-5: John to the seven congregations that are in the [district of] Asia: May YOU have undeserved kindness and peace from "The One who is and who was and who is coming," and from the seven spirits that are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, "the Faithful Witness," "The firstborn from the dead," and "The Ruler of the kings of the earth."
