Skip to 3:24 if you don't give a sh t about why I'm doing this This is a 1987 Jeep Comanche SporTruck. It is equipped with the AMC 4.0L Engine, Peugeot BA 10/5 5 Speed Manual Transmission, NP231 Transfer Case, Dana 35 Rear Axle and Dana 30 Front Axle. It is the Long Wheelbase configuration with a 7 foot bed. I bought it with 115,000 miles, and in this video series, I planned to restore the truck, but it's kind of become a matter of keeping it alive. In this video: -How to make removable doors Elegance in Simplicity: • Punch Deck - Elegance in Simplicity "Previous Comanche Video": • How to get a Jeep out of a Snowdrift Belt squeak is caused by the Harmonic Balancer. I guess I might replace it but... other than the noise it drive fine so I'll probably put it off until something breaks. The Comanche is gonna be on standby for a while; I currently have no income and need a job, and the XJ needs a Rear Main Seal, Exhaust downpipe and Transmission, and I'm also working on swapping the NP231 for an NP242 AND wiring an Extended Idle switch. I might still sell the truck but I might also not. I don't know. I'll put a for-sale sign in the back window and see what happens.
