Egypt Signs Historic $35 Billion Ras El Hekma North Coast Development Project Deal With UAE

Egypt Signs $35 Billion Biggest Construction Project Deal For Mediterranean Coast Transformation - While not technically a full-blown "crisis" yet, there is no denying that Egypt is currently navigating one of its most challenging economic periods in living memory. This stems from a confluence of factors, including the global rise in food and energy prices due to the war in Ukraine, the disruption of tourism revenues, and the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic's impact. As a result, the Egyptian pound has depreciated, leading to inflation, particularly in essential goods, putting a strain on household budgets. Additionally, the government's ambitious infrastructure projects have placed pressure on state finances. However, all this is set to change and Egyptians can breathe a huge sigh of relief, as the country has signed a game-changing deal with the UAE that will see $35 billion pour into Egypt's economy. What is this deal about? And what's in it for both Egypt and the UAE? In today's video, we will shed more light on these questions and many more. In a landmark move that promises to turn around the nation’s present economic woes, Egypt announced on Friday, February 23rd, 2024, that it has signed a mega deal with the United Arab Emirates, A.D.Q, the smallest of Abu Dhabi's three main sovereign investment funds, to develop a new city on Egypt's northern shore, with the goal of increasing tourism, investment, and foreign currency reserves. The deal, signed by Egypt's Housing Minister Assem El-Gazzar and UAE's Investment Minister Mohamed Al Suwaidi on Friday at Egypt's New Administrative Capital, will develop Ras Al-Hekma, which lies west of Alexandria. Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, who attended the signing, stated that Egypt's New Urban Communities Authority and Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company will carry out the project, which would bring $35 billion in foreign direct investment into the economy in two months. "This is the largest amount of foreign direct investment in the history of the country," Madbouly said, adding that the transaction was the first of numerous investment agreements that the government was negotiating to increase foreign currency sources. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✅SUPPORT US /AFFILIATE LINKS Use this affiliate link for your purchases at #MIZIZI International - https://bit.ly/3hajEY9 Support our channel - PayPal: newafricachannel(at)outlook.com Follow us on Instagram -   / thenewafricachannel   Follow us on Twitter -   / thenewafricach1   Join us on Facebook -   / thenew.africachannel.3   ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✅COPYRIGHT DISCLAIMER The New Africa Channel doesn't fully own some of the materials compiled in its videos.
