A Scenic Drive from Queenstown to Arrowtown, New Zealand | South island #queenstown #southislandnz #arrowtown #nz #travel #nztourism #nznature #drive #beauty Arrowtown is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Queenstown airport Arrowtown is nestled in the picturesque Arrow Basin between Queenstown and Wānaka and three ski fields. The town centre is walkable and almost everything is close by. The town has plenty of bike and car parks and is serviced by the Orbus public bus. There are also taxi and shuttle services. If you are travelling from Queenstown, there are two ways to get to Arrowtown and both are a 20-25 minute drive. The first is known by the locals as the ‘back way’ or the ‘scenic route’ from Gorge Road through Arthurs Point and past Coronet Peak, along Malaghans Road past Millbrook Resort. This route offers views of farmland, mountains and picturesque valleys. The other is along Frankton Road and through Frankton, over the Shotover Bridge and past Lake Hayes.
