70000 'Britannia' on 'The Cathedrals Express' to Worcester - 19/12/12

Wednesday 19th December saw BR 7MT Class 4-6-2 no.70000 'Britannia' haul the London Victoria - Worcester Shrub Hill - London Victoria 'Cathedrals Express' For both outward and return shots I decided to go to Cholsey Station on the Great Western Main Line, had plans for Charlbury on the outward instead but a two hour wait afterwards to get a train back to Didcot put me off. The weather wasn't exactly the best for this run with grey skies, rain and wind, but Britannia made up for it with lovely performances first seen winding her way towards Cholsey then storms through towards Didcot. After that it was off home for a bit then back again for the return where Britannia is seen once again storming through, with a whistle this time which I had actually asked for on the Cathedrals Express' Twitter (@On_Train), although I'd hoped she would whistle through the station instead of outside but hey ho, can't have everything now can we! It was a lovely end though to my main line filming this year, and what a year it's been visiting many new locations, meeting new people, putting faces to names of fellow YouTubers and of course we've had some memorable performances from many different locos this year. Stay tuned though as there's still more preserved railway bits to come, as well as this years "Best Ofs" and "Whistles & Two Tones" Part 3.
