Riding The Flying Scotsman Steam Train on the Nene Valley Railway The Flying Scotsman is the Worlds most famous steam locomotive and at 9.30am on, I rode on the train from Wansford to Peterborough and back. I really couldn't wait to see it again, up close! Flying Scotsman was the first loco to achieve a speed of 100mph, way back in 1934. Running on The Nene Valley Railway, (but not at 100mph) this was day 3 of its schedule here on Monday 30th September 2019. https://www.nvr.org.uk So, once again, I'm a big kid and even get to film briefly in the cab - Wow! This experience just takes me back to the 1960's when there were still steam trains running on UK lines. So it's certainly a nostalgic moment for me of the of bygone days.
