Today, we embark on a journey through time, exploring the rich history and captivating beauty of this 17th-century marvel. If you have a passion for exploring ancient Balinese structures, then the Peliatan Royal Palace in Ubud is a must-visit destination. As we step through the grand entrance gate, we're immediately greeted by the awe-inspiring Balinese architecture that adorns every corner of this sacred complex. Intricate carvings, stunning towers, and captivating statues create a visual symphony that reflects the essence of Hindu majesty. Dating back to the 17th century, this sacred complex serves as a representation of Hindu majesty and is currently the residence of the royal Ksatria family. The allure of the palace lies in its distinctive Balinese architecture, evident in every corner, from the grand entrance gate and well-kept gardens to the expansive courtyard, impressive towers adorned with captivating statues, and unique carvings. We had the opportunity to meet the 11th generation Prince at the Royal Peliatan Palace and he shared information on the amazing culture and history of Ubud, Bali. He showed us some photos at the Royal family museum and he graciously us invited us to join him to a Royal Balinese Dinner. We really enjoyed listening to him as he answered some of our curious questions. But the magic didn’t end with the architectural marvels and a Royal Dinner. The evening came alive with local Balinese dance performance, accompanied by the rhythmic melodies and enchanting sounds of the dancers as the musical backdrop. It's a mesmerizing blend of spirituality and artistry, offering us a unique glimpse into the soul of Balinese culture. Wow!
