This guided somatic meditation is designed to help release deep, stored stress from the body through gentle awareness, body scanning, and non-effortful unwinding. Rather than forcing relaxation, this practice invites you to listen to the body, locate areas of tension, and allow natural release to occur at the body’s own pace. This meditation includes: A grounding and orienting phase to support nervous system safety A slow body scan to locate points of holding or tension Gentle guidance for unwinding and letting go, without force or analysis A closing body blessing to support integration and appreciation This is a somatic, body-based practice, suitable for chronic stress, burnout, or general nervous system support. No prior meditation experience is required. Best experienced: In a quiet, safe environment Seated or lying down When you are not rushed Headphones With permission to stop or adjust at any time If at any point you feel overwhelmed, open your eyes, orient to the room, and return when ready. After somatic release work, it’s common to feel: Calm or grounded Fatigued Emotionally tender Clear and spacious All responses are normal. Support integration by: Drinking water or a warm beverage Eating a nourishing meal Taking a gentle walk or stretching slowly Resting, if needed Avoiding overstimulation immediately afterward If strong emotions or sensations arise, pause the practice and orient to your surroundings. Somatic work is most effective when approached gradually and with choice. Return to this meditation as often as feels supportive. For continued healing, contemplate or journal the questions pinned in the comments. This meditation is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, but to support regulation, awareness, and self-care.
