Regina Kim - Screenwriter | Women in Horror | HorrOrigins Interview

Regina Kim is a screenwriter from the Bay Area, where she graduated from UC Berkeley as an English major and a Creative Writing minor. She briefly sold her soul to Corporate America before moving to LA to complete the Professional Program in Screenwriting at UCLA. Regina primarily writes in the horror genre and loves the challenge of finding new ways to scare the modern audience. Her writing explores the dichotomy between not only Western and Korean cultures but also the tangible and spiritual worlds, and how Asian Americans exist within them. Through layers of suspense and terror, she strives to re-envision the horror landscape through this lens. A graduate of the UCLA MFA Screenwriting program, Regina's horror TV pilot about sleep paralysis, INCUBUS, is a 2019 BloodList Fresh Blood Select. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
