Adults and children alike can enjoy the great nature of Tottori. 平成７年からの発掘調査により明かされた国内最大級の弥生時代の集落跡「妻木晩田（むきばんだ）遺跡」。調査されたのは九州の吉野ケ里遺跡より広い156ha。遺跡からは、竪穴住居、墳丘墓など900以上もの建物跡が見つかり、非常に大きな村・集落が形成されていたと想像できる。現在も発掘は進行していますが全体の９割は未調査の為これからも大発見が期待できます。 The Tsumaki Mukibanda Ruins is one of the largest Yayoi period village ruins in Japan, uncovered through excavations since 1995. The area surveyed was 156 ha, which is larger than the Yoshinogari ruins in Kyushu. The remains of more than 900 buildings, including pit dwellings and mounded tombs, were found in the ruins, and it can be imagined that a very large village or settlement had been formed there. Excavation is still in progress, but 90% of the site has not yet been explored, so we can expect great discoveries to come. この国内最大級の集落は「鳥取県立むきばんだ史跡公園」として公開されており、公園内は自由に散策できます。「弥生の館むきばんだ」は、貴重な遺跡からの出土品を見学、体験ができる施設です。公園内には復元された竪穴住居をはじめ、山陰地方特有の形をした四隅突出型墳丘墓（よすみとっしゅつがたふんきゅうぼ）などの見どころが多数あります。ほかにも発掘調査の現場をそのまま保存している遺構展示館、調査の過程を学べたり体験できるひろばなど、大人も子供も楽しめるスポットとして人気があります。 This largest village in Japan is open to the public as the Tottori Prefectural Mukibanda Historical Park, and you can freely stroll around the park. ``Yayoi no Yakata Mukibanda'' is a facility where you can see and experience artifacts excavated from valuable ruins.
