Here is my soil mix or soil recipe for transplanting plants into bigger containers. This is the soil mix for Transplanting trees, shrubs and starter plants. This soil mix is perfect for larger planting containers, It holds moisture well, but also has great drainage. I got this recipe from Carl Whitcomb's books, basically peat moss, fine ground bark mulch and Osmocote fertilizer.
