On March 15th, 44 BC, Marcus Junius Brutus, the wealthy and politically connected son of one of Rome's most powerful families, stabbed his lifelong friend, Julius Caesar, to death. It is perhaps the most well-known assassination in history, but it remains shrouded in legends, half-truths and mysteries. The biggest question of all, though, has always been "why?" There are lots of answers to that question--even Shakespeare has provided his own--but in this video we explore a crucial facet of Brutus's personality that we believe hasn't been given enough attention.
