Wow! The weather has been too good and Mina and old dad thought it'd be a good idea to take it outside and jam at the first lighthouse ever in the fareast that has been a beacon in the dark for over 250 years~! We jammed so loud w/ our 50 Watts Roland CUBE Street Ex and her Jimi Hendrix signarture strat. The amp made such a loud noise that I think we shattered the glass windows of the lighthouse, plus the antigue beacon lense might have fallen off; we played also at a chapel next to the lighthouse and the loud noise might have waken the dead buried under it, not to mention the location was the place where the observatory has been hoisting typhoon signals was at a high point, and because of that, when storm signal #10 is hoisted, it's the best place to sound the siren, so all residents in the enclave could look for shelter. Our surf sound was probably loud enough so people within the parameters of i'd say, 4 sq. km could hear us. But it was good music. hahaha! We didn't think the above would happen, but that's not what the guard thought. We were stopped at the entrance because I was carrying the Roland amp. Then we explained we just wanted to shoot a few photos only and wouldn't make any noise and all, and she almost wanted to have the amp confiscated. We explained politely there would be no noise, as our usual rock party or concert would require many other bigger amps and drums, and we would just be posting plus playing unplugged there. We made sure she'd know we were there not to give anyone (especially her) trouble if we had, she could ask her to leave. So Mina took the guitar out next to the big one long range bronze cannon (made in Macau and shipped to all over the world back then), I played a really faint background music through a portable radio, which sounded more quiet than her Strat being played unplugged. The lady guard hiding rushed out to catch us immedaitely, and stopped us. The sound was more quiet then a ringtone of a phone. Old timers playing phone music hands-free doing morning walk at the same place make a lot more louder noise. I politely asked her to watch and see if we'd be creating any nuance and if so, she could ask us to leave. She refused and just wanted us to quit whatever we were doing. If she had had a baton, she would have pulled it out to stop us. but, she only had a phone, and she was calling the government she said. Well, i told her to call the police and she did. Now, ride of the song: 1989 Lotus Esprit SE in silver Ok, we played Pretty Woman in this medley. To me, i have got to mention the Espirit SE because the movie was awesome and the scene Richard Gere driving the Espirit but not knowing how to drive a stick was hillarious. I know, the car only had a 4 cylinder engine but hey, it's light. And they squeezed so much out of the 4 cylinder sports car. The wedge shape was beyond it's time and despite of all the quirkiness, I still wouldn't mind having one of these in my stable. I talked about the 1999 Lotus Esprit GT3 once but the 4 cylinder 1989 model, especially from the movie, is awesome enough.
