Unit 8: Exchange of Health Information Description: This unit covers the reasons that the exchange of health information is an important component of a modern health care system, the challenges that exist to realizing the exchange of health information at the national level, some of the strategies that have been taken to advance the exchange of health information – for example, health information exchange organizations, Direct, and Meaningful Use – and future directions for the exchange of health information.
