Waves of Change: How to Save our Ocean - EarthFest 2024

A panel discussion, hosted by Rebecca Daniel from The Marine Diaries, featuring Chris Desai from UOCEAN, Tom Collinson from Blue Ventures, and Ed Goodall from Whale and Dolphin Conservation. It can sometimes feel like there are so many issues affecting the ocean and we can’t do anything to help. But it’s important to recognise the power we all have: as consumers, as employees, and as voters. We walked about the need for governments, businesses, and NGOs need to collaborate and take an integrated approach to these complex issues, and to make conservation FUN - whether that’s through rubbish clean ups on a paddle board or gaming to save the ocean. Our excellent panel left the audience feeling inspired by the incredible work that’s being done to tackle plastic pollution and issues with fisheries, and protect whales and dolphins.
