As requested by a follower, here is a compilation of every time Dio Brando said his own name. That it was either a thought, monologue, narration or a direct line. "KONO DIO" which translates to "This Dio" is actually meant to mean "I, Dio" or "Me, Dio!", since "Kono" (この) substitutes the pronoun when someone refers to himself in third person, in the Japanese language. This is used as a pompous and strong speech pattern to boast your own self, or your name. Something that fits very well an individual like Dio. Repeating the line over and over, the "It was me, Dio" became a meme in the JoJo community. And this is pretty much how many times he went on saying it.
