This is a Tool-Assisted Speedrun and it won't count on any real rankings. L1: 37.944 L2: 36.577 L3: 36.714 Total: 1:51.235 RTA WR: 1:52.485 • Видео Timecut: -1.250 The first ever run with 3/3 usc on Rosalina's Ice World. I think the first thing that I need to discuss is the combination being used. About 5 months ago, I started experimenting with May's combination because May is the only person to have a 2/3 usc run. While I was testing this out RTA, I was finding that I was actually able to hit it every once in a while, and i'd never hit it before. So when I started TASing 2 months ago, one of the first things I wanted to do was to get a 3/3 usc run. At the time I was trying to do it with Metal Mario and Koopa Clown. I decided to come back to this after having improved the rDC G time down, and try to get it using the only combination that i've had any form of success with. Using toad, barrel train, wood wheels, and swooper seems really strange for a TAS, but given that no run before this one has ever had 3/3 usc, I think it made sense to use what I knew i'd at least have a chance of doing it with. I'm pretty happy with the run itself. Releasing the SMT into the usc seems to make it more frequent which is why that's done on laps 1 and 3. The usc on lap 2 was actually done accidentally since I had bad alignment for the SMT strat and just decided to go for it anyway and happened to get it. There's some minor optimizations with releasing some SMTs earlier throughout the run, and maybe a tiny bit to be saved around some of the corners, but it looks clean and it's overall pretty solid. And now that i've finished saying all of that: Thanks for Watching!
