Join the #DontGoViral campaign launched by UNESCO in partnership with the Innovation for Policy Foundation (i4Policy)! To help inform their fellow Ugandans and build solidarity within the continent, Bobi Wine and Nubian Li released their hit track “Corona Virus Aert!”. As one of his many contributions to the #DontGoViral Campaign, Bobi openly licensed “Corona Virus Alert” and invited musicians and content creators from around the continent to remix, adapt, and cover the song. It immediately received international attention, and more than 40 artists have worked on remixing the song, using the catchy tune to reach their communities. The DontGoViral campaign is an online campaign to crowdsource local openly licensed content to inform communities across Africa about COVID-19. All submissions to #DontGoViral will adhere to a Creative Commons License and will be released to the public so they can be remixed, adapted, translated, and disseminated. Participants will also be requested to ensure that all themes and guidelines expressed conform with official health agency and WHO recommendations.
