From the Sorrows of Werther and the Romanticism art movement to Tumblr blogs and Lana Del Rey, romanticizing mental illness in art has long been met with criticism and censorship. In this video, I defend what many call "romanticizing mental illness" or glamorizing tragically beautiful art, particularly in response to the trend of 2014 soft grunge tumblr coming back.
