Norwegian Cake Recipe - Kvæfjordkake - How to make the World's Best Cake! In anticipation of Norway's Constitution Day, on the 17th of May (Syttende Mai), I decided to bake Kvæfjordkake! This delicious cake is known as Verdens Beste Kake or World's Best Cake. ♥ Ingredients ♥ 8 tablespoons of soft butter 1/2 cup of sugar 1 cup of flour 1/4 cup of milk 4 egg yolks 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1 teaspoon of baking powder 4 egg whites 1 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup of chopped almonds 1 teaspoon of lemon juice 2 - 9 inch prepared baking pans custard (see our video) whipped cream raspberries blackberries strawberries blueberries mint leaves Enjoy a the Norwegian cake with either a cup of coffee, tea, or your favorite beverage. ♥ We hope you enjoyed our video and recipe! ♥ Give me thumbs up if you like this video.
