The Gold, Silver and Bronze masterpieces that are the focus of training and commitment for 4,500 athletes across the Commonwealth became one step closer as the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Medals were revealed to mark 100 Days to Go. The medals have been designed and produced by maker and jeweller Jonathon Boyd and hand finished by students from the Glasgow School of Art -- one of the world's leading design schools. The medal design draws influence from the strength and motion of sport as well as the iconic designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Each unique and hand-finished medal weighs 100g. There are 448 Gold, 448 Silver and 489 Bronze (Boxing, Judo and Wrestling award double Bronze). A total of 1,385 medals will be presented.
