World Lymphoma Awareness Day

Tuesday is World Lymphoma Awareness Day, a day to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of Lymphoma. Lymphoma is a form of cancer which in most cases is not talked about is misdiagnosed. Every 90 seconds worldwide, someone is told they have some from of lymphoma. According to a global patient survey done by the Lymphoma Coalition 62% of lymphoma patients are not diagnosed immediately. The National Cancer Registry lists lymphoma as the eighth most common cancer in South Africa and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is rated the seventh most common cancer in both men and women in the country, to talk to us more about World Lymphoma Awareness Day, we are joined in studio by Dr Devon Moodley, a Medical Oncologist at the Donald Gordon Medical Centre in Johannesburg.
