Swimming Pool Light Niche Leak & Repair

This one was a little tricky. As you can see in the video, a leak had been attempted by another company prior to the customer calling us. At first glance it looks like a good repair, but dye testing proved otherwise. The existing repair had not adhered to the metal niche, allowing copious amounts of water to leak out around the back. After removing what we could of the resin they had used, and after cleaning/roughing up the metal surface of the niche, we applied a special underwater-setting epoxy. I'm sorry that we don't show the actual repair process in this video, but that wasn't possible on this job. Christine had to redo the repair that someone else had attempted, and she did that off-camera because she needed both hands to do the job properly. In the second half of the video you can see her dye testing around the repair to show that it's no longer leaking.
