UPDATE: =============================================================================== Hey everyone! So, I foolishly created my original YouTube channel using my school email which is soon to be deleted by my school to make room for the new students. YouTube had also updated their guidelines for accounts marked as under 18 so I was therefore unable to upload or even comment on YouTube videos with that account. Sorry for the confusion I may have created by uploading all my videos here. I couldn't figure out how to move them over so I guess I'll just start over here! I hope you still enjoy my videos :) Old description: =============================================================================== Hello everyone! I didn't expect to upload this so early but here's my cover of Animenz's "Hikaru Nara" arrangement. I started learning this piece in early 2020 but I ended up dropping it before the chorus and picked it up about 2 weeks ago after listening to Animenz's 2014 arrangements. Normally, I don't watch the anime I make covers for but Your Lie in April is different. I watched it about 5 times in 2018- 2019 when I was just getting into anime and anime covers since the classical music theme and art style was really interesting (although I think they focused on Chopin a bit too much). I really tried my best to give a flawless performance as Hikaru Nara is one of my favourite Animenz arrangements (behind Snow Halation and unlasting) but there are still some imperfections in there(;へ:). Overall thought, I'm quite happy with the outcome of this recording and hope you enjoy it as well! Although not technically challenging, the dynamics are hard to control if you don't pay attention. The tremolos starting at 4:05 was definitely the hardest part of the piece since it was so hard to keep them in the background while emphasising the main melody and the jumped in the left hand didn't make it any easier haha. My favourite part of this piece was definitely the three hand at 3:49 since the accompanying arpeggios made the main melody sound even more magical. I realised after recording this that Animenz used the una cord pedal which I didn't even realise during the many times I watched his video so I tried to play the whole piece without it lol.
