Dominic Ng, Volt’s Service Designer, explains Volt Bank’s Data Ethics Framework to a room full of data practitioners and experts at the AlphaZetta Global Analytics Summit in Copenhagen on 3rd May 2019. The Framework shapes Volt's core principles, operations and interactions with customers from a data privacy, security and trust perspective. The presentation also touches on co-creating the trust journey with consumers through Volt Labs. Dominic provides an overview of Volt's data ethics principles and how Volt is bringing each of them to life via 5 areas within the business: Risk framework + governance Culture + conduct Tools + technology Design + engineering Data processes “We really appreciate the opportunity to share our experience in this emerging field of data ethics with data practitioners, recognising that there are many areas where we still have no clear answers,” said Dominic. “We would very much welcome others’ thoughts and insights into how, as a society, we might tackle some of these ethical challenges.” More About Dominic Dominic is a senior business design and strategy implementation specialist.
