The story is told through the eyes of three Vita-Living volunteers who discovered volunteering is more than just giving back. Directed by Mark Susman Written and Narrated by Dan O'Rourke Produced by Mark Susman and Kimberly Lykins Post Production at Fast Cut Films Vita-Living, Inc. is a Houston-based 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization founded in 1982 by Renee and Stan Wallace, the parents of a son with a severe developmental disability. In 1985, the first small group home licensed in Texas to serve people with severe developmental disabilities and challenging behavior was opened by Vita-Living. Today, we provide support services to nearly 500 children and adults who have a broad range of intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Down Syndrome, autism, and cerebral palsy. These comprehensive services include all necessary clinical, medical, and social components, optimizing each person's potential and ability.
