BMPCC4K Cinematic Slowmo Video Test (Filmed in Melbourne)

BMPCC4K Slowmo Video Test BMPCC4K has been out for quite a while now. I have been getting a lot of messages and asked me to review one. So finally I got my hands on one. (Better late than never) so I did a little video test while I was in Melbourne for a job. So from the specs, it is a really awesome camera. Quality is amazing. Footage looks really good. And you get really nice film look too. Colour is definitely better than the first gen. I gotta say, I enjoyed using the camera so much. The quality is just as good as my Canon C200. If not better. But for what I do (Wedding), I still prefer DSLR or Mirrorless over the Black Magic. Just because Black Magic still require a lot of work in post. I mean it’s perfect for short films or music videos. In this video, I shot everything in 4K ProRes 422 and “Extended Video Picture Profile”. The reason why I didn’t use the best setting, because there are heaps of 4K RAW with “Film picture style” test footages on internet. And for me I would like to see if I could use this camera for daily use. So I was more interested to see if the camera was able to handle the normal colour on “Extended Picture Profile’ and how the ProRes 422 holds up in post. So it turns out pretty good. I would say film picture profile would give me more room to grade the footage. But over all, it was pretty impressive.
