TIPP CITY -- It has been more than a decade since the last homicide Tipp City Police had to investigate, now they have two persons of interest in the death of an 88-year old man. Police say one of those persons is the victim's grand daughter. Police confirmed that a body found in Boone County, KY. on Wednesday was that of the missing 88-year old, William York. York had been missing since at least May 27, police are working to pin down the exact time he was last seen. "Everybody's" affected by this," said Tipp City Detective Chris Graham about the impact of the incident on the town. In the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 3, 2015, Police recovered William York's missing truck in Butler Township. In it, York's grand daughter Hope York. She was arrested for possession of heroin. William York's body was found in a sleeping bag in a creek in rural Boone County, Kentucky at approximately 2pm Wednesday afternoon. Hours later, a second arrest was made in connection to the case, Richard L. Terrel, said to be Hope York's boyfriend. Court documents show Hope York was in possession of her grandfather's checks and ATM cards. Terrel is facing a receiving stolen property charge after police say her knew about and participated in withdrawing ,500 from William York's account. Police have not charged either person of interest for the homicide. Arrest records for both persons of interest show criminal pasts. Records show Richard L. Terrel has dozens of arrests dating back to 1998, with a theft arrest. He has also been previously charged for breaking and entering, multiple drug charges, criminal damaging, and domestic violence. Hope York was arrested on drug charges twice in 2014. ABC22/Fox45 reached out to Terrel's family in Troy, they did not wish to talk. "Let's not forget that there's more than one victim if you will," said Detective Graham. Details of William York's autopsy have not yet been released.
