Sign the Manifesto: https://c.org/HvrpwDSYHP ✍️ In 2 days, I head to the BC Supreme Court. I want to be clear: I am not against the AIBC. It is a vital provincial organization. But like any institution, it must evolve with the times. Right now, a "bullying system" based on fear is holding back BC’s design workforce. I was fined $62,000 for "misrepresentation" even though I never claimed to be an architect. I am a designer with 37 years of experience, and I am proud of that. We are going to court to modernize the bylaws so that designers and technologists can accurately describe their work—like "Architectural Drawings"—without fear of bankruptcy. Join 27 others and help us reach 50 signatures before Wednesday morning! #BCRealEstate #SmallBusinessBC #ModernizeAIBC #Justice #AryoFalakrou P.S. To illustrate the administrative "force" I mentioned, I received the following legal notice from the AIBC legal counsel just yesterday afternoon (Monday). Note how they are threatening to cancel my registration by tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18th, if I do not drop my pursuit of a Judicial Review: “...your registration with the AIBC will be cancelled effective March 18, 2026... if by end of day on March 17, 2026, the AIBC has not been served with your petition for judicial review...” — Sabinder Sheina, Barrister and Solicitor; Legal Counsel; Director, Professional Conduct and Illegal Practice, AIBC. This is the pressure being used to silence a 37-year professional for using descriptive language. This is a story of regulatory overreach in real-time.
