Kislovodsk, a famous balneological and climatic resort, is located in the south of Stavropol Krai of Russia. It is located in the northern foothills of the Greater Caucasus, a majestic mountain range stretching between the Black and Caspian Seas. Located at an altitude of 750-1200 meters above sea level, the valley where the city lies, formed by mountain gorges, through which the rivers Olkhovka and Berezovka flow, which also enter here into the river Podkumok. Mountain terraces with deep caves and grottoes surrounding this area, creating a unique microclimate. Even when it is drizzling with rain at the neighboring resorts, the sun shines in Kislovodsk, there is almost never a wind, the air is always clean, dry and invigorating, which together with lowered and always static atmospheric pressure is an effective healing factor.
