Revenue Generation in the Age of AI: From LLMs to Agents

T2RL Engage 2025 Sep 23, 2025 Abstract: While large language models (LLMs), like ChatGPT, are becoming an integral part of the business, AI agents are entering the workforce. Although these AI tools offer a significant productivity boost, their direct impact on revenue is still unclear. To address whether GenAI can generate revenue for airlines, we need to go beneath the surface and understand the mechanics of LLMs. This session not only demystifies LLMs, we will also reveal a fundamental limitation that inhibits their use in revenue generation. Finally, we will discuss how AI agents can overcome this inherent weakness of LLM and unlock its revenue potential for airlines by using the full spectrum of AI tools.
