Join CFAB Social Workers Chloe and Ruth for an insightful session on practical support after family reunion. They explore: What are the main tasks that a family will need help with after family reunion? What are the hurdles to accessing help, and how can we overcome them? Good practice considerations for working with refugee children, young people, and families. Chloe and Ruth have extensive experience supporting reunited refugee families through CFAB's Family Reunification Service, which provides advice and practical support to children and their families across England. www.cfab.org.uk/project/family-reunification-project In 2024-25, CFAB welcomed 71 new families to the service and supported 166 children. In the year: 95% of families were supported in accessing more appropriate housing to accommodate the young people joining them in the UK. 82% of young people were supported in registering for school and have been able to continue their education. Demand for this specialist support is growing, and CFAB cannot meet it. That's why we provide free training to professionals so all children and families get the support they need.
