Pannenkoek2012: / pannenkoek2012 UncommentatedPannen: / pannenkeok2012 Skelux: / skelux I guess no parody of Pannenkoek would be complete without the unnecessarily long description, so, here we go, I guess. This video, as you may guess, is a parody of Pannenkoek2012 and, more specifically, his second channel, that being UncommentatedPannen. The main idea was to capture the feeling that he gives off with his editing, right down to the repetition used to help further illustrate things, which would explain the repetition in this video. My main goal was to emulate his editing style, even going so far as to make it Mario themed with music and sound effects, the former of which you may notice doesn't start from the beginning, which was intentional as a lot of his videos begin from the middle of a world. Fun fact about the sound effects, finding sound effect rips from Mario 64... not easy. In fact, for one of the sound effects, that being the footsteps, I had to record myself on Project 64 since I just couldn't find a sound effect of it online. I went into the castle courtyard where there are only bird and boo sound effects (the front of the castle wouldn't work because of the waterfall and Yoshi's footsteps which are always playing) and just walked around a bunch in order to hopefully find a clean version of Mario's footsteps, which I only managed to find 4 clean sounds in a row, which I duplicated in Audacity. Everything else I managed to find within a video on YouTube with a fair selection of sound effects or on some websites with a different selection of sound effects. There are a LOT of unaccounted for sound effects, so I'm very happy all the ones I wanted to use were either online or replicatable. The idea for this video came from me watching Pannenkoek2012 and UncommentatedPannen's videos, a little obsessively, when I noticed that the font that he was using was the exact same as the font that I use for my videos, Segoe UI, so I thought it would be funny to do an UncommentatedPannen-style video where I point out this fact. While I was still in the planning stages, by pure coincidence, I was recommended a video by Skelux, that being the one you see in the video, where I noticed that Skelux was also using the same font as both myself and Pannenkoek, so I knew I had to include that in the video. So, if Pannenkoek happens to be reading this, I have a few words to say to you specifically. I am a huge fan of your work and I really hope you take this simply as a joke and don't get offended by it. Your content is fantastic, your ability to discover things in Mario 64 through theorization and experimentation is incredible and I love learning about the small things that you'd never even think to want to learn about. Like, how useful is it to know the programming that governs when characters blink? Ridiculous. But it's just so interesting. You hold the same philosophy with your videos that I hold with my own life, get excited about everything, no matter how mundane it may seem. I personally don't have the dedication to try and discover so much about one thing, so I really applaud with you for sticking with this for over 10 years now. Just incredible. As for your recent fall from your main channel, I read the reason why and I'm totally behind you. As nice as it would be to get more videos at the quality of Watch for Rolling Rocks, I totally get that you don't prefer making those videos. If you have to put on yourself in a horrible, and very mentally unhealthy state to force yourself to finish videos then I hope you never release a video again, because that is not something I want to wish on anyone, especially someone I respect as much as you. Plus your uncommentated channel suffices for me, you post more stuff that you wouldn't post to your main channel that interests me, so good on you if you prefer that. I've gone on this tangent long enough, so to finish off I just want to say, thank you for reading if you did, and if you didn't, then maybe I wasted my time writing it, but whatever, I wasted my time on this stupid video, what's 10 more minutes to write an unnecessarily long description, right? Thanks for watching, if you did, and keep making your awesome videos.
