family guy unaired pilot uploaded to internet archive here https://archive.org/details/family-gu... This is the original pitch pilot for Family Guy from 1998. A large majority of this episode went on to become the actual aired episode "Death Has A Shadow". The first few minutes are nearly beat for beat before the jokes and plot start diverging from each other. The first 7 minutes has been widely available since 2003 when it was remastered and put on the Volume 2 DVD as a bonus feature. About 10 years ago, a couple videos popped up on YouTube that are thought to have contained the full 16 minutes, but they have been blocked by Fox for copyright. There was also a very low quality, pixelated upload on some Tripod fan sites around the same time or earlier but those links no longer work, even with Wayback Machine. The main notable differences are character names (Tom Tucker is Mike in this one), voice actors (Seth MacFarlane voices Chris, Rachel MacFarlane is Meg, and Butch Hartman is Mr. Weed), some jokes missing or redone (applause is played when Peter says "Bullshit" at the end of the talent show, the statue of Liberty gag is slightly different, no Kool-aid man in the courtroom), scenes were changed (hot air balloon instead of a blimp, the statues appendage being thrown into Proto-Quagmires house instead of Mr. Weed's, and the entire conversation at the table after the stag party is different), and the plot is a little different in this one (Lois knows about Peter getting fired and the welfare fraud the entire time in this version as well as Chris being the one to suggest welfare and also the one to notice the overpayment). This video remained lost for those 10 years until I came across it during a search on Bob Paulson's portfolio website. It appears to have been uploaded in September of 2022 when the website switched hosting servers (shout-out to TOMYSSHADOW in the Lost Media Discord for letting me know that).
