THE CHESTER HILL LOOKOUT (Toronto Ontario) Sitting at the end of a quiet residential road off of Broadview Avenue is a semi-circular concrete observation deck overlooking Toronto’s Don Valley. Relatively unknown to anyone living outside of the Danforth, this intimate little spot is a quintessential Toronto gem. The Lookout features a giant astrology wheel painted by Toronto's king of sidewalk art, @whatsvictorupto. I met and chatted with some of the wonderful people that live in the neighbourhood. They told me that in recent years this wonderful spot has become more well-known, and it has since been attracting some criminal behaviour to the Lookout. I was told about late-night loud parties, drugs, litter, a shooting, prostitution, and even sex trafficking, happening at night at the Lookout. The police will be installing CCTV cameras. They also fighting a battle to keep a new train rail yard and repair depot from being created in the valley right below the lookout. So, if you visit this wonderful spot, please be considerate, quiet, and respectful to the friendly people that are trying to raise their families in the neighbourhood.
