2012 Chevy Sonic P0300 Random Misfire - Ignition Coil and Spark Plug Replacement - EASY DIY 30 MIN!

Customer brought in a 2012 Sonic with the 1.8 liter motor. The car was shaking and not running well. The check engine light was on and blinking. Upon checking the code we found a p0300 for Random Misfire. We did a visual inspection by removing the coil and found the stem/tip of the coil was broken off as well as it was base of the coil was broken. We believe this was causing the coil to arc to ground/motor block causing this excessive misfire. Today we end up replacing the coil and plugs with OEM parts listed below. We probably only needed to do the coil but better to do a full tune up. PARTS : Coil : ACDelco GM Original Equipment 25186687 Ignition Coil Plugs : ACDelco 41-122 spark plug (x4) We also only need a few simple tools to do this. Plugs t-40 Torx 5/8 Spark plug socket 6 inch extension of various extensions to reach socket Ratchet (torque wrench suggested for 18 ft lbs) If you have any question slet me know. After this tune up and letting it burn off that excess fuel this thing is running great!
