The rest is offense and winning. In the Latosa-Escrima Family system of my father, he said to win or die. He worked out with me never knowing how he was going to react based on how the situation escalated. He was a ”pre-empted fighter” before the word ever existed. He was a tough Filipino warrior, for a Filipino he was big, an athlete, and a highly skilled martial artist. My training was not easy. Being a teenager, the youngest son, smart mouth, big ego and having taken for granted my training resource, he didn’t take it easy on me, and I guess I didn’t on him. Somehow I seem to remember, that I took most of all the fury of his weapon, hands and temper. Again all that I do is a tribute to all my teachers and instructors who made me what I am today. All of them had an enormous impact on the way I teach and apply my skills of which I am proud to pass on to my students." Thanks to Rene Latosa and thanks to Rasaq for making this possible
