I replaced the front and rear bumpers on my 2008 FJ Cruiser, a job that should have been straightforward but instead turned into me fighting plastic, gravity, and an unreasonable number of clips. This was originally going to be an instructional guide but as you'll see you may need to consult somebody more qualified to show you how to do this correctly. lmao The truck has 230k miles and the bumpers were absolutely cooked. Faded paint, scuffs everywhere, and trim that looked like it had lived a hard life. The overland and camping build is basically done, so now I am finally dealing with the cosmetic stuff I ignored while building it to be useful. This kicks off a slow refresh that will probably take the next couple of months. Mostly cosmetic work to make the FJ look good again, and then I will probably move on to suspension and off-road mods. Nothing catastrophic happened. Nothing caught on fire. A lot of clips did not survive. It was stressful in the moment, fun overall, and completely worth it because it came out great.
