History of the Tewa tribe, Native Americans

A linguistic group of Native Americans who speak the Tewa language and are part of the Pueblo culture is known as the Tewa. Their ancestral territories are in New Mexico, north of Santa Fe, along the Rio Grande. On the Hopi Reservation in Arizona, mostly at Tewa Village and Polacca on the First Mesa, reside the Hopi Tewa, who are descended from individuals who escaped the Second Pueblo Revolt of 1680–1692.
