In 1969 Beirut, Mossad recruited Nadia Khoury, a nightclub dancer, to infiltrate the inner circle of General Hafez al-Mahdi, the notoriously paranoid dictator of Qamara who had survived 17 assassination attempts. Al-Mahdi was obsessed with Nadia, making her the one vulnerability he never recognized, granting her access to his secure environment and his deepest secrets. For 18 months, Nadia worked as a deep-cover operative, using her intimacy with al-Mahdi to gather critical intelligence. She memorized conversations, photographed military documents, and mapped out the rivalries and disloyalties within his regime. This intelligence led Mossad to identify senior officers who were dissatisfied with the General's erratic rule, enabling the shift from passive collection to active manipulation. Nadia was instructed to amplify the General's paranoia about certain officers, accelerating the internal crisis. The operation culminated in a military coup in March 1971, which she helped orchestrate. Al-Mahdi was overthrown, and the new government quietly ceased support for anti-Israel organizations. Nadia, the dancer-turned-spy, successfully achieved regime change using seduction and psychological warfare, demonstrating that a dictator's greatest security failure can be his personal indulgence. --------------------- DISCLAIMER: Some of our videos contain elements of fiction or have been intentionally dramatized to create a compelling and engaging story.
