On this day, people go out into nature to celebrate the last day of the Nowruz holidays with their family and friends. This tradition, rooted in ancient Persian culture, combines old beliefs with collective joy, encouraging people to embrace the beauty of nature. On this day, families prepare their picnic essentials early in the morning and head to gardens, parks, forests, or riversides. Traditional foods such as Ash Reshteh, kebabs, and snacks like nuts and fruits are commonly found in Sizdah Bedar gatherings. People spend the day playing group games, listening to music, and sometimes dancing to local tunes, creating fun and memorable moments together. One of the most interesting customs of Sizdah Bedar is tying knots in blades of grass, a tradition mainly followed by young men and women. This act is performed with the hope of making wishes come true, especially for finding a suitable life partner in the future. At the end of the day, the Sabzeh (sprouted greens from the Haft-Seen table) is released into the water, symbolizing the return of greenery and life to nature. Sizdah Bedar is not only an opportunity for leisure and relaxation but also serves as a reminder to protect the environment. However, one of the challenges of this day is the potential harm done to nature. In recent years, environmental activists have emphasized the importance of a "Green Sizdah Bedar," encouraging people to clean up after themselves and avoid damaging the environment. In line with this tradition, Akram’s family also decided to spend the day in nature.
